SINGLE GOLF CUP UK

The Single Golf Cup UK Final is a national event for golfing singles at Hawkstone Park Hotel, Shrewsbury on 9th September 2008. To give players a flavour for what the Single Golf Club offers, we have scheduled a series of ‘Introductory Events’ around the UK at high quality venues. These would normally be part of a qualification process for the UK Final (Hawkstone) but in its inaugural year, we’re doing things a bit differently!

UK Final at Hawkstone Park, Shrewsbury, 9th September 2008:
This gives players from around the UK the opportunity to come together and enjoy a round of golf at one of the UK’s premier golf & leisure resorts. Some may have already sampled one of our regional ‘Introductory Events’ or perhaps you’ll be experiencing the Single Golf Club for the first time.

How the UK Final works:
The format is an individual stableford competition, with the 12 best placed players being eligible to contest the European Final in Mallorca (November).

Participants:
Members, Associate Members and guests can participate in the Introductory Events. As a basic principle, only SingleGolfClub members are eligible to contest the European Single Golf Cup. Interested players who do well in the Hawkstone Final and would like to compete in Mallorca must become a member of SingleGolfclub UK before they take part in the European Final.

Participants from abroad:
Members from Germany, Austria and Switzerland can also take part in UK events, but are not allowed to win prizes.

Miscellaneous:
No player can win two prizes. For example, no player can win both the gross and net categories and no player can win the special gross category and the gross prize for the Single Golf Cup UK.

Charity event:

We also run the Single Golf Cup UK 2008 as a charity event. Each participant may volunteer to donate a sum in GBP representing the number of net points he or she scores to the Robin Hood Foundation for street children and orphans. Of course, we will not say no to a sum in excess of the points scored!
