About us

The "prototype" SingleGolfclub was developed in the autumn of 2003 with a simple website being set up on the Internet. Right from the outset, we ensured that we presented ourselves under the internationally recognisable name "SingleGolfclub". Our impressive new website has been up and running since the spring of 2005. At present SingleGolfclub maintains a presence in Switzerland (since 2004), Germany (2005), Austria (2006), the French-speaking part of Switzerland (2007), United Kingdom (2008), Ireland (2008) and, since October 2008, in Tunisia as well.

We have Event Managers in Brazil, Portugal (Madeira), Spain (Andalusia) and Turkey.

A change of generation took place in November 2006, with SingleGolfclub now being marketed by SingleGolfclub GmbH. The sole company member and Managing Director is Christian Koch, the son of the founder. SingleGolfclub was developed by Gerhard Koch, a born-and-bred Swabian who in the eighties was the International Service Manager for a German company occupying a leading position in the global market. In the words of the founder: "It is really good fun communicating with people from all over the world and making a fresh start on the development of a new product in my sixties!"“

SingleGolfclub is, of course, not exempt from the laws of the market: any start-up is difficult. However with the corresponding know-how, entrepreneurial flair and the excitement of the challenge, 2008 will see SingleGolfclub expanding into the seven countries of the Anglophone golf world: the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
